The Telegraph's poll on the reunification of the Parthenon Marbles

An article written by Telegraph Travel writer Nick Trend entitled 'Why returning the Elgin Marbles to Greece would be madness' with a poll that reflects one carried out only three years ago in another Telegraph article, this time written by Dominic Selwood.

The poll three years ago failed to trick supporters even though it tried:

'Placed online not at the end but in the middle of a hostile article ("Greece knows that it has no legal right...") full of misrepresentations, opinions and errors presented as facts. For the unwary it even reversed the normal order of questions so that NO indicated that the marbles should be returned to Greece. Despite all this 58% voted that indeed they should!'

We did less well this time in the poll that was placed in Nick Trend's article, 53% did not feel it was madness to reunite the sculptures from the Parthenon in the Acropolis Museum.
