World Tourism Day & European Heritage Days at the Acropolis Museum, Athens, Greece

The Acropolis Museum is celebrating world tourism day on Friday 27 September 2013 and European heritage days on Saturday and Sunday 28 and 29 September 2013, with Gallery Talks by archaeologist about the Museum masterpieces and the colours of the archaic statues.

On Friday 27 September the Museum will remain open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission will be free for visitors from 7 pm until 10 pm. The restaurant on the second floor will operate normally as it does every Friday and stay open until 12:00 pm, midnight.    

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September the Museum will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and admission will be free for visitors from 5 pm to 8 pm.

GALLERY TALKS – PROGRAM:

Friday 27 September:

‘Masterpieces in the Acropolis Museum’: at 6 p.m. in English and at 8 p.m. in Greek  

Archaic Colours’: at 11 a.m. in English and at 12 noon in Greek

Saturday 28 September & Sunday 29 September:

Masterpieces in the Acropolis Museum’: at 11:30 a.m. in English and at 12:30 p.m. & at 5:30 p.m. in Greek

Archaic Colours’: at 1 p.m. in English and at 2 p.m. in Greek
