The conference will explore the legal implications and ethical standards involved in the use of cultural property in HE teaching and research, and will introduce UCL's new Cultural Property Policy and Guidelines. Speakers of international standing will address a range of legal and ethical issues involved in the use of cultural property as a resource for research, teaching and public engagement.
The conference will be relevant to anyone involved in researching, teaching or studying the natural sciences, art history, history, archaeology, social and biological anthropology, comparative religion or any other subject which uses specimens or artefacts as resources.
